Zimin`s murderer to go into hiding in Romania
Press-secretary of Moldavian Ministry of Interior Affairs Andrei Slutu considers that supposable murderer of NTV reporter Ilya Zimin, citizen of Moldavia Igor Velchev escaped to Romania.
By words of Sluto, Moldavian police appealed to Igor Velchev "to come and to yield voluntarily himself up". But appeal was left without respond.
Igor Velchev, who is in federal search for murder of NTV journalist Ilya Zimin, was noticed in Moldavian town Taraklii on March 2. By tentative data the suspect tried to hide in stepfather`s house. Neither of relatives knew that Igor was in search.
Half an hour before arrival of local police the suspect escaped leaving the bag brought from Moscow.
Relatives characterize Velchev as calm and honest person. By words of his grandmother, "he always stayed out of conflicts, was ready to help to relatives".
Igor Velchev is the only suspect in murder of Ilya Zimin. The office of Public Prosecutor instituted criminal proceedings by article 11 part 4 of Russian Criminal Code ("intended infliction of serious bodily injuries followed by death").
